Classification by Application:

Ventilation/Air Exchange Type: Primarily used for air circulation in workshops, warehouses, and other similar locations. Through continuous airflow, it improves the working environment and reduces the concentration of harmful gases and dust. These fans typically have a large air volume and low wind speed, enabling rapid air exchange over large areas. For example, in the production workshops of large factories, ventilation/air exchange type industrial fans can effectively remove waste gases and odors generated during production, creating a relatively healthy working environment for employees.

Cooling Type: Achieves a cooling effect by forcing air convection to accelerate the evaporation of sweat from the human body surface. In high-temperature environments during summer, cooling type industrial fans are widely used in textile factories, electronics factories, and other places with high temperature requirements. Some advanced cooling type industrial fans also incorporate water mist technology to further enhance the cooling effect.

Dust Removal Type: Primarily used to remove dust and particulate matter generated during industrial production. Dust removal type industrial fans are usually equipped with special filtration devices that effectively capture and filter dust from the air, preventing dust from spreading into the surrounding environment. In industries such as mining and cement plants, dust extraction industrial fans are crucial equipment for ensuring workplace air quality and employee health.

 

Classification by Structure:

Axial Flow Industrial Fans: Air flows along the fan's axial direction, characterized by large air volume and low pressure. Axial flow industrial fans have a relatively simple structure and are economical, suitable for ventilation and general cooling applications. Common axial flow industrial fans are available in various installation methods, including floor-standing, wall-mounted, and ceiling-mounted, to meet the needs of different locations.

Centrifugal Industrial Fans: Air enters from the fan's axial direction and then flows out radially. Centrifugal industrial fans can generate higher pressure and are suitable for applications requiring higher air pressure, such as duct ventilation and boiler ventilation. Compared to axial flow industrial fans, centrifugal industrial fans have a more complex structure and are relatively more expensive.

Mixed Flow Industrial Fans: Combining the characteristics of axial and centrifugal industrial fans, the airflow direction is between axial and radial. Mixed-flow industrial fans offer a good balance between airflow and air pressure, making them suitable for locations with high ventilation requirements, such as shopping malls and underground parking lots.

 

Classification by Drive Method:

Electric Industrial Fans: Powered by an electric motor, these fans rotate the fan blades via a transmission system. Electric industrial fans offer advantages such as stable operation and convenient control, making them the most widely used type of industrial fan. Depending on the type of electric motor, electric industrial fans can be further divided into AC motor-driven and DC motor-driven types.

Hydraulic Industrial Fans: These fans utilize power provided by a hydraulic system to drive the fan blades. Hydraulic industrial fans typically have high torque and high speed, making them suitable for applications with high power requirements, such as cooling systems for large construction machinery.

Pneumatic Industrial Fans: These fans use compressed air as power, with a pneumatic motor driving the fan blades. Pneumatic industrial fans offer advantages such as explosion-proof and safety features, making them suitable for flammable and explosive environments, such as the petrochemical industry.
